The Minecraft poster is a television

your_uncle_mo's desk stands in the corner of a bedroom in the UK, and red light covers the walls around it. The room took a few months of changes to get here. The TV at the end of the bed came out, the desk was cleared, and the space around it opened up.

A television hangs on the wall above the desk. It looks like a poster of a cave lit by torches, and it is a Minecraft ambience video playing on a screen somewhere between 50 and 55 inches. A socket sits behind it, so no cable runs down the wall, and someone the owner knows fitted it.

The desk is a Desktronic HomePro, 180 by 80 cm, with a black frame and a walnut top. A 32 inch Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 sits in the middle of it, centred on the chair. The second screen, an LG UltraGear 27GP950, stands on end well out to the left. It carries Discord, Spotify and the odd page, so it does not need to sit beside the main one.

The chair is a Herman Miller x Logitech Embody, bought direct and chosen over the Aeron. The Atlas headrest on top is a luxury rather than a necessity, and it earns its place when the owner leans back to watch the TV. The chair squeaks a little on a recline, and barely at all the rest of the time.

The PC stands on the desk in a glass case, with a red water loop running through it. It has a GeForce RTX 4090, a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and 64 GB of DDR5, built for 4K gaming and for work.

The keyboard is a NuPhy Kick75, the high profile version, on Blush switches, with high profile keycaps bought alongside it. The wallpaper on the main screen is The Batman - Stand in red 2022, from Wallpaper Engine.

A Spider-Man popcorn bucket from a cinema holds the headphones. Funko Pops stand on the shelf and on top of the PC, and they are staying, because the room needed some personality left in it. Blueprint-style prints of Ghost of Tsushima and Cyberpunk 2077 hang beside the television, and industrial shelves carry the rest. The plants went when the room was redone, and a few may come back.
